Dream's Don't Work Unless You Do

I enjoyed the movie & the book “The Secret” … well most of it anyway.

I loved the thought of focusing on what you want. I truly believe that if you envision the things you want to accomplish in life, then it’s possible to accomplish them.

What bothered me about the movie & the book was the lack of instruction on actually going out and working to achieve the thing you desire.

Too many walked away  assuming that if you dreamed enough about wanting something, then it would magically appear.

For me, life hasn’t worked that way.

Instead, in life if you want something you can dream about it, but then do the work and actions necessary to reach your accomplishment.

Have a vision, but do the work to accomplish that vision.

Hence the saying … Dream’s don’t work unless you do!

Ideas are Great, Execution is Greater

I’m sure many of you are constantly coming up with new ideas.

That’s great, and keep developing these new ideas.

But remember, execution is greater!

My business career has taught me a lot about myself. Early on I learned that

I have Big Ideas.

And, well that’s a good thing, but …

I’ve since learned that

Lots of people have Big Ideas. Getting them DONE is what matters.

To accomplish what you want in your career, be sure that you GET THINGS DONE!

So don’t be that person! Don’t be the one always coming up with a great idea, but never seeing it through.

Still come up with the big idea; we need them!!

But, more importantly, execute. Get it done! See your idea become reality.

That is what will make you great. That’s is how you will leave your mark.

I see this every day in the business development world. I’ll have a company tell me all the amazing things they are going to do. Sadly, many never follow through.

It’s the rare and special company that sees it through the finish line.

So never forget …

Ideas are great, execution is greater!

Discipline = Key to Success

One of the most important keys to success is having the discipline to do what you know you should do, even when you don’t feel like doing it!

So true! I’ve been around many successful individuals. Nearly all used the same formula. They determined what they wanted to do. They laid out what they thought was the plan to accomplish it. They then took daily action to accomplishing the goal … whether they felt like it or not!

That’s the kit! Do what you know you should do, even when you don’t feel like doing it!
